I want to start off with asking you some very important questions.
- Do you want to be deceived and drawn away from God?
- If there was a chance that you were being deceived would you want to know?
- If you answered, “No” to #1 and/or you answered, “Yes” to #2. Then would you be willing to take an objective look and study to find the truth for yourself?
Today I will be talking about the “prophet” Cindy Jacobs. I would like to first point out that she is not a prophet of Father God, the creator of the heavens and the earth. She could possibly be a prophet from Satan…Or she could also just be someone who is in it for the money…In either case, she is against God and promoting false teachings and prophecies. The scripture tells us if we are not with God we are against him.
Cindy Jacobs is the Co-Founder Generals International. Cindy and Mike Jacobs also host a show called, God Knows. Once a year she gathers with other “appointed Prophets” to “hear what the Lord is saying for the upcoming year.” So I first looked at some of the prophecies where she has actually proclaimed what the Lord was saying. I took a look at the prophecies for 2015 and 2016. I also took a look at some of the prophecies she has proclaimed over Australia and Zimbabwe in 2001. There were a few things that really stood out to me.
The first thing that stood out was that none of these prophecies have been fulfilled. So, I looked to see if she had any disclaimers about her prophecies. I found two on Generals International’s web page. It basically says that God works in seasons, so if a prophecy isn’t fulfilled within that year, it’s because God has extended the prophecy to be completed within the next year. In my study of the bible, I have not found any mention of God working in seasons…There are passages about seasons, but none to do with God working in seasons. So this is a false statement that Cindy Jacobs has made. I would also like to note another disclaimer. She states that intercession can diminish or cancel out a judgment. Last I read in the bible (everywhere) we must repent in order for a judgment to be “diminished” or “canceled out”…
The second thing that concerns me is that these prophecies talk about blessings extensively with no repentance. What I know for sure is America is thick with sin. It is everywhere, and its getting worse! God isn’t going to give his spiritual blessings to those who aren’t repentant. Actually the bible tells us the opposite! The bible talks of his judgment to the unrepentant heart. It also talks about those that will not inherit the Kingdom of God in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and in Galatians 5:19-21. If one isn’t going to inherit the Kingdom of God, this obviously means that they will not receive his spiritual blessings.
And just one last thing I would like to point out about Cindy Jacobs’s prophecies. When reviewing her Prophecy for 2015 and 2016, I noticed that the 2015 prophecy was called the turnaround year, and the 2016 prophecy was called the Tide will turn. After reviewing them, I asked myself, if 2015 was the year that God was raising up a standard against the enemy then how is it that in 2016 God is still doing this? Also in both the 2015 and 2016 prophecies, it’s basically the same thing just worded differently. The same promises of prosperity, blessings, unity and Gods power for any and all. Now I did notice that one thing did come to pass. She proclaimed that the Mississippi basin would have flooding. After review, I noticed that the Mississippi Basin flooding is a normal occurrence…
One thing that really concerned me with these prophecies is dominionism. Basically they are saying that we (Christians) will be taking over or having influence over many different areas of society. In essence she is saying that we are going to be living in a time of great blessing because Christians will be ruling. This is not biblical at all. Again last time I read the bible it talks about a great judgment because sin is so rampant in the end. We are in Mathew 24!
Mathew 24:10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Does this sound like Christians will be a dominant people in the last days, a loved people? There are many more scriptures to discredit what she is prophesying and teaching. Anyone can take one scripture and manipulate it to say what they want it to mean. But if you take the whole passage or the bible as a whole then that one scripture taken out of context is exposed as a lie. For instance, Cindy Jacobs, and others, claims Acts 3:21 to mean that we as Christians will be a dominate people in the end times. As you will see below, it isn’t what is being said in that passage at all.
Many teach on dominionism. It is taught predominantly in New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). If you haven’t guessed Cindy Jacobs is pushing this false teaching (amongst others). They teach that Jesus Christ will not come back until the church has restored (or dominate) the earth. I tried to find scriptures to back this up, but I can’t…In fact, again, I had found the opposite.
Acts 3:21 Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago.
So this says that GOD will restore everything….Again, there are many scriptures to disclaim what she is teaching and prophesying. Not just one, but many! This teaching worries me because essentially she is teaching Gods people to take Gods place! Not just in this area either. I have noticed that they have so many classes on ‘how to’s”. How to pray, how to get Gods glory, how to be a prophet, how to heal, and so forth. God is the one who gives the gifts and the Holy Spirit enables, not man! Read Ephesians 4:7, 1 Peter 4:10 and James 1:12-18. So if God gives the gifts then why are there so many classes? This is another example of man taking Gods place. You may think, as I did, didn’t they impart gifts one to another? Let’s take a look at the Story of Elijah and Elisha, start at 1 kings 19:16. Elijah was told by God to anoint Elisha as a prophet to take his place (Elijah was a proven prophet of Father God). God did the appointing not man! This really grieves me, that so called Christians are trying to take Gods rightful place. I can’t imagine how much this grieves Father God.
Have you heard the saying, you are who you hang out with? I believe this is scriptural.
1 Corinthians 5:9 I wrote unto you in my epistle to have no company with fornicators; 10 not at all meaning with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous and extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world: 11 but as it is, I wrote unto you not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one no, not to eat. 12 For what have I to do with judging them that are without? Do not ye judge them that are within? 13 But them that are without God judges. Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.
We can also read a similar scripture
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
Let’s also not forget the scripture from the last post.
Mark 8:15-21 “Be careful”, Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod”. They began to discuss with one another the fact that they had no bread. And Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why do you discuss the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet see or understand? Do you have a hardened heart? “HAVING EYES, DO YOU NOT SEE? AND HAVING EARS, DO YOU NOT HEAR? And do you not remember?”
The book of Mark tells us why we should not associate with false Christians, teachers, prophets, essentially false brothers and sisters in Christ. A little lie can corrupt the whole man. Who does Cindy Jacobs associate with? Who are others that teach dominionism? Well this is very interesting group of people. Some are well known Christians who have been within the church community for a long time, some are respected and trusted. This list might throw a curveball your way, but please remember what the scripture tells us…
Mike Jacobs, Peter Wagner, Chuck Pierce, James Goll, Bill Hamon, Che Ahn with Harvest Rock Church, Dutch Sheets, Lou Engle, Will Ford, Robert and Faytene Grasseschi, Matt Sorger, Rick Joyner, Jim Laffoon, Bill Johnson with Bethel church, Sid Roth with Its Supernatural, Rich Vera, Perry Stone and there are more….
So if we follow by what the bible teaches us, then we are not to be listening to these types of people or their associates. Remember a little yeast goes a long way. One little seed can corrupt the whole man! I would also like to mention, that not all these people are completely lost…Some are just deceived. We must pray for them!
If you have read my previous posts you will know that I have been getting an opposite word from God than these folks have. The reoccurring word that I have gotten was that we are not in a reprieve or a time of blessing, but we are about ready to enter very hard times. This confused me until recently. I wondered why I was getting a completely different message from God. Well now I know that these people are not truly hearing from God. They are false teachers, prophets, and healers! Please do not be deceived. I hope these last three posts have caused people to open their eyes. If you are one of them, I would like to remind you that you must repent for listening to these lying, demonic spirits that are upon false teachers, prophets and healers. Even if it wasn’t a willful sin, it is still sin.
Blessings,
L.
