I was once a very lost, lonely, tired, scared and shattered person. Many horrible things happened to me at a young age. I was a torn person filled with hate and resentment amongst other things. I made some bad decisions that led to a worse life which in turn caused me to dig myself deeper into a life I believed I was destined for. I was an ugly person….
The reason why I am writing this to anyone who will read, is because I was terribly wrong. I was loved, I was watched over, and yes I was an ugly person But God still loved me just as I was. And he loves you just as you are.
If you are tired, lost, lonely, scared or shattered God can save you right where you are. He can heal your heart and your past. God can restore your mind. He can turn your life around completely. I know this for a fact because he has done this for me and countless others. It wasn’t over night (although he has done that for some) but he was with me the whole time holding me in his hand.
If you would like to ask God in your heart, it is very easy.
Romans 10:9-10. “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Example Prayer:
Lord God I thank you that you gave me a way by sending your son Jesus Christ to die and raise again for my sins. I ask you to come into my heart and cleanse me of all my sins. Lord God I praise you and give you rule over my life past, present, and future. I thank you Lord God that you have cleansed me and made me a new creation. Lord God I ask that you restore and renew my heart and mind. I declare that I am a child of God and I am all that God says I am. I am healed, whole, victorious and an over comer through Jesus Christ. In Jesus name Amen.
After you have done the above in Romans, you are now saved. This means that you are a new creation. You are new inside! Ask God to restore and renew your mind and heart. Turn away from sin and declare that you are a child of God. You may not change over night but God reads the heart. He knows every thought and every motive. He knows when you are sincere and if you are trying your best. He will guide you with his bible and holy spirit. You are not left alone.
What helped me when I gave my life to God?
- Pray, pray and pray some more
- reading the bible/study the bible/meditate on the bible/believe the bible
- listening to praise and worship
- surround myself with different people. In my case I found a good church.
